My name is Luke McLernon, I have a Bachelor's degree in Health Science, and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. I grew up with five siblings (four younger) where we were outside and playing all kinds of sports every day, and I now have two children of my own. Throughout my journey of becoming an OT I have been in multiple settings including academic, home, and community. One of my core values as an OT is providing an environment for individuals to have autonomy and provide opportunities for meaningful activities, regardless of whatever barriers may be present. I love to be outside, whether it’s the forest or the ocean, and being outside is so beneficial for my physical and mental health. Some of my favorite activities are disc golfing, swimming, and hiking. It is my belief that true growth is built on a foundation of trust and curiosity - once that bond has been established the opportunities for learning and growth by the child and therapist are boundless!
